Simplie Girlie Designs is a local mom-owned business specializing in printed and embroidered shirts and gifts as well as handmade sewn items. All items are made by myself in my pet-free, smoke-free home. I’ve been in business as SGD for over 10 years and have made many things for the local community as well as people world wide through my Etsy shop. While my business has evolved to specialize in custom printed shirts and embroidered children’s birthday shirts, it all started with my being asked to use my sewing skills to provide merchandise for a friend’s business when I lived in southwest AR. With the onset of COVID, my focus to my sewing returned with the making of masks (most of which have been donated to local schools and hospitals)and my focus is shifting to try to share my business more locally instead of focusing so much on just my Etsy shop.

My work space is located inside my home halfway between Conway and Vilonia. All my children have either graduated from or are attending Vilonia Schools. We have lived in this area for 11 years and enjoy it very much. We have a small farm where we have free range chickens, horses, cows and pigs. My husband and son are working to build up a small farm business to offer eggs and, hopefully, farm raised and processed pork and beef products. My youngest daughter works with horses and is working to build up to having her own local training/boarding facility. My oldest is finishing up college to become an accountant and is one of the managers at the 8-Mile Store.

I’m working to upload products here such as masks, some t-shirts, blankets, and other children’s items that are already made and ready to go. I do specialize in custom work, so if you are looking for something specific, please feel free to contact me. I respond quickest to text or messages sent to my Etsy shop. If you call, please leave a voice mail as I do screen calls (thanks to all those telemarketers, lol). You may also message me on facebook (Melody Brown Shull). I do work full time in Conway as well and cannot have my phone with me at work, but typically respond within 24 hours. My email and SGD facebook page only get checked roughly once a week due to my work schedules and typical day to day family/mom stuff, so other contact methods usually get responded to more quickly.

If you ever need to make different arrangements to pick up products, I’m happy to work with you to see if we can find another pick up/drop off method. Customers often pick up with myself or one of my daughters and I’ve been known to meet/drop off on my way to or from work or running errands. I will also soon have a box near my mailbox where items can be picked up at your convenience.
